Fun to watch
In the game, for me, there are some guys that I would pay to see play. Of course it's a little easier for me to get a ticket, but fans talk to me about this all the time, and I like to hear about it 'cause everyone is their guy. Here are some of my guys and why. 1. Jimmy Rollins man playin in florida i hate seing him come up to the plate. His speed and his power and tough to go up against and when they need his most he shows up (plus he's from my hood). 2. Josh Beckett man he might be one of the best I've seen on the mound. strong, smart and tough on the mound. plus now his finger is on point and the sky is the limit for him. 3. Dan Uggla strong willed and battle ready everyday. he plays hurt and still can go deep with the best of them. little man at second but big man power. 4. Orlando Hudson Fun to be around and fun to watch. like me he loves to talk trash and play the game hard everyday, and on top of that he might be one of the best with the glove. 5. C.C Sabathia One of the best lefties hands down. He wants to win and he wants go against everyone's best. These are just a few but these are my guys that are fun to watch. What are some of your favorites, but let me know why. Your boy, D

2.Carl Crawford- Fast as hell and I love speed players. I've watched him hit at least 2 inside the park home runs live
3. Ryan Freel- I nicknamed him Human Highlight Freel. The guy plays every out like it's his last.

Other Yankees on my list:
Jorge Posada (guy's scrappy as hell. I love that he's never worn batting gloves)
Alex Rodriguez (yeah, yeah, a lot of people don't like him, but he's incredibly graceful and he has one of the sweetest swings I've ever seen. And he refuses to slide feet-first)
Ian Kennedy (He's got the Mike Mussina set and knuckle curve. He's going to be the best out of the Yankees big-three young pitchers. Mark my words)
Non-Yankees:
Brian Roberts
Carl Crawford
Troy Tulowitski
Jose Reyes

Now, are we just talking about baseball. Because, Dominik Hasek was the reason I started watching hockey. Man, he was amazing. That's my dude

1. jose reyes -- he's got a cannon for an arm and out of control speed. i love watching him play because his speed affects the game around him...pitchers have to pay attention to him, shorten their stride / leg kick, and keep him close to whatever bag he's on; catchers have to know where he is at all times, and hitters know when they ground the ball to short, they better hustle down the line or they're meat.
2. ryan freel -- one of those guys that us "everyday" people can relate to when it comes to stature, but has to outwork everyone else to get where he is. he busts his butt on every single play, runs into walls, breaks up double plays, get's down and dirty every day, and does the same thing the next day. sure, he doesn't hit 500 ft. home runs, but he makes the most out of what God's given him, and i respect that a great deal.
3. troy tulowitzki -- plays amazing "d" up the middle, and can do some things with the 'ole lumber. very fundamentally sound in all facets of the game, and has a very business-like approach. very deserving of his record contract extension.
4. russ martin -- plays everyday at a very tough position, and even steals a decent amount of bases...which is really uncommon for catchers nowadays. plays great defense, calls a pretty good game, handles the rotation, and swings a mean bat too. only going to get better.
5. tim lincecum -- i know he had mixed success this season, but his stuff is as good as anyone i've ever seen. once he get's his full command of all his pitches, he's going to be dominant. i don't care how crazy his mechanics are, and how he doesn't fit the "prototype" of the ideal pitcher, his stuff and his work ethic are going to make him one of the best pitchers in baseball within the next 2-3 seasons.

I actually posed a similar question over at my place the other day, and you were in my Top 5 - with Aaron Rowand, Jake Peavy, Greg Maddux and Huston Street. I'd also add Kerry Wood, Curtis Granderson and Vlad Guerrero to the listl.

However, the players I hate the most because they're too darn good...and KILL THE TIGERS! (I wish they were on my team)
1. Albert Pujols - He killed us in the World Series and always hits homeruns in right-center field at Co-Merica
2. Chien-Ming Wang - If he's on his game...nobody can touch'em
3. Daisuke Matsuzaka - This guy could pitch 10 innings if you let him. He never gets tired!
4. Grady Sizemore - He always seems to come up with the big hit against us, or awesome fielding.
5. Bobby Jenks - Say good night when he comes in with the lead.
6. Justin Morneau - Just like Sizemore he always comes up with a big play.
7. Joe Mauer - He's able to hit balls out of the strike zone and somehow get on base. Similar to Pujols.
8. Johan Santana - Mr. Strikeout.
9. Jim Thome - Pulls everything! Sets on the fastball and is a sucker for the left handed slider/curve
10. Derek Jeter - Just a great player in all areas of the game.
11. Matt Holliday - Glad he's in the National league cus I know he'd kill the Tigers.
12. Carl Crawford - Should be on every list of tough players to play against. Great base runner.
13. Kelvim Escobar - Solid Starter with great control and movement. Have a feeling we will see him in the playoffs this year.
Tigers I love to watch:
1. Placido Polanco - Knows how to make contact with the ball...and can find the weakness in the defense
2. Magglio Ordonez - He's a tough out that pitchers hate to face in a tough situation. I love his swing.
3. Justin Verlander - I love the 99 mph fastball and the 78 mph changeup...it's unfair! More strikeouts than hits! hehe
4. Joel Zumaya - I love the 102 mph pitching, but he's more effective pitching at 99 mph because he has more control. Zumaya's curve and changeup after the fastball is fun to watch.
5. Curtis Granderson - Fun kid that wants to win. Covers the field very well, great base runner, and really improved his bat swing.
6. Dontrelle Willis - Most everyone struggles switching leagues as a pitcher, but it's fun to watch him pitch. He reminds me of Kenny Rogers with a stronger arm. He might struggle against right handed batters like Jermaine Dye, Paul Konerko, and Victor Martinez. But I see him matching well against Jim Thome, Justin Morneau, Joe Mauer, Travis Hafner, Grady Sizemore, and David Ortiz.

Ryan Freel - this guy is the image of baseball. A huge bite off the tobacco twist, plays everyposition, and plays hard as hell.
Steve Kline - Just what i want coming out of my bullpen ugly, left-handed, and full of emotion.
Mike Matheny - My catcher can hit .200 and make the line up with his Defense.
Juan Pierre - This guy covers serious ground in the outfield and when he swings he ALWAYS makes contact.

1. Mark Fidrych-- I was not a baseball fan back in 76, but my dad was, and the game was always on in our home. I remember Mark caught my attention that year (as a teenager, it was probably more his antics than his actual accomplishments, but I have learned to appreciate those as well since becoming a Tigers/baseball fan. I remember walking by the TV that summer, and if "the Bird" was pitching, I would stop to watch, if not, well, I had other things to do.
2. Josh Beckett.--He quickly became a favorite in......was it the 2004 WS?......when he pitched the complete game shut out, and fielded his own last out to win the game.
3. Joel Zumaya--I watched this kid back when he was one of "my Whitecaps" in 2003. It has been fun watching him climb the ladder to the Tigers and have the success he had back in 2006. Now let's get him healthy and back to dominating again.
4 Justin Verlander--man, has he been fun to watch. Here is to an even more successful 2008!
5. This is a tie between Placido Polanco, Curtis Granderson and Magglio Ordonez. I am rooting for an equally successful year for all three.
My favorite aspect of the game is pitching. Since most of my baseball season is buried in the minor leagues, and since I do not have cable, so have to listen to the games on the radio, I have to admit that I have yet to watch you and Miggy in the game. I look forward to that happening this summer.

You forgot to mention Alfredo Amezaga. I mean, wherever you put the dude he is just a lil firecracker and makes something happen.
Curtis Granderson, your new teammate, is one of this generation's great centerfielders. He really gives it his all in every aspect of the game.
Speaking of JRoll...it must have been awkward for you guys when you got into that brawl with the Phillies last year...that was intense, but way to stick up for your fellow teammates. I love you man, and I hope you come back in 2011 when the new ballpark opens!
