day one in new jersey today was kinda crazy. this whole offseason i knew i was going to b going to a new team but it really hit home today. first workout went well today and i got a chance to get on the mound as well. I must say i miss 35 but number 21 looks good on me so i'm not even mad about that. but for the most part everybody from top to bottom seems cool and ready to work so i should fit right in. your boy d

  Big D, before you start the season remember one thing. Most everyone has struggled switching leagues, so don't let others or yourself pressure you. Stay focused and improve during the season. You've got a solid team behind you...let them watch your back.
  
  The bullpen might be a little frustrating this year...but be like a bull dog and remain focused.

    My point is that after Big D pitches 6 or 7 innings our bullpen might struggle this year. That can be very frustrating to a starting pitcher. Todd Jones is over 40, Rodney has had problems finding the strike zone and staying healthy, while Zumaya is out for half the season and Grilli was hammered last year. It's the only weakness I can see on our team.
    
    Although, I'm excited! I've never seen our new players play an entire game. I've only seen video clips.

  21 will be the amount of complete games you have this year, it's good luck. It's so nice to have D-nice on our tigers team. You should dh on the days your not pitching. I love you d-train. Best of luck to you this season.

      No I meant the number of complete games or else I would of said games won. To say that D-nice is only going to win 21 games is unacceptable and insulting. We are projecting win total to be low to mid thirties this season with an era under 3.

  D-train, im a ChiSox fan and i hate to see u and Miguel go to the Tigers considering you two were and still are my favorite players. But hey, a least i get to see you two more often and I wish the best of luck to you in MoTown.
  P.S.- Verlander needs to step aside and like D-Train roc #35...its only right...

    Tigers have struggled against the White Sox but it seems everyone else does pretty good against them. In the coming years your going to learn to hate Miguel and the D-Train after they kick the White Sox tail! I love to see the White Sox lose, their coach and GM is really arrogant.

  I refuse to ever hate Miguel and Dontrelle...I will never learn to hate them, my mind doesn''t react like that to those two players. And say watch you want about the White Sox, their GM, and Ozzie, but I'll have you know that we would not have won a world series championship without them.

  I disagree...I feel the White Sox players are fed up with their mouthy coach. The White Sox are great on paper, but the coach takes the fun out of everything. Get rid of Ozzie and they start winning.
  
  When I said "hate", I only meant in a game atmosphere....not personally.

      Magmum P.I left in the 80s and left me with the duties of being the number 1 fan here in Oahu. I traded his Ferrari in for a Honda Civic with an old blue English D on the bumber. I am an old Michigander from Paw Paw who watches the boys of summer religiously. Go Dontrell and the rest of the Tigers-- may they bring back another championship to Motown !!!

  Damn D, I've been a huge fan for a while. I just found your blog and I read the whole thing. I was surprised to see you actually responded to so many comments. I wish you could have had something like this back with the Marlins. That would have been phat.
  
  Well can't say anything everyone's already said, but yeah hope you have a great time playing in Detroit. I might make an effort to watch something other than Marlins games and watch some Tigers games. hahaha.
