Bucks Star Damian Lillard Doubtful For Game 4 vs. Pacers
Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

Milwaukee Bucks guard Damian Lillard is doubtful for Game 4 of the NBA first-round series vs. the Indiana Pacers after suffering an Achilles strain, per Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report.

The Bucks trail the series 2-1 after losing in overtime. They have already been without injured star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, who also is likely to remain out for Game 4.

Lillard aggravated the Achilles injury during that game. He scored 28 points.

“We’ve just got to turn the page and get one win after another,” Lillard told reporters after the Bucks fell to 2-6 on the season vs. Indiana.

What may have been the best game of the early NBA playoffs clearly could have gone either way, as the second-seeded Bucks seemed to bounce back from a lousy showing in Game 2. They just couldn’t close the deal.

“I thought we picked up our energy, I thought we got more physical,” Lillard said. “We just kind of got things under control, we got matched up, got into the gaps and thought once we started to do all of those things, the game started to turn. That’s something we’ve got to focus on.”

Now, the Bucks will have to try to climb out of their deficit without Antetokounmpo and perhaps, without Lillard.

“I just wanted to be on the floor in case opportunity came up or however I could help,” Lillard said. “We’re gonna get back and just have to get ahead of it because that’s not something that you want to play with. It’s one of those spots on your body where you literally can’t, you can’t do nothing about it. If you can’t move you can’t move. We have a couple of days to start and try to get ahead of it. Get it feeling better and get ready for Sunday.”
